On 5 September 1997 Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, commonly known as Mother Teresa of Calcutta died at the age of 87.  She was one of the most high profile figures of her day and we all thought we knew her.  However, the Sky documentary ‘Mother Teresa – For the Love of God?’ exposed the nun as a charlatan, manipulator, liar and thief.  Strong accusations indeed.

My opinion, after watching the documentary, is Mother Teresa had good intentions (as the saying goes – the road to hell is paved with such), but she found herself in a situation she could not handle and could not get out of.  This is unfortunate as it led her to associate with and support known paedophiles and criminals, all for sake of money.

Born in Skopje, Macedonia in 1910 Anjeze’s entrepreneur father died in mysterious circumstances when she was nine years old
